What a day!!!

Today was a great day!
It was Halloween and CJ was having his Halloween party at school. I asked mom and dad if they wanted to go and of course Nana said YES!!! We didn't tell Christopher though, we were going to leave it as a surprise.
Mom and dad had never been to the boys school, so this was a new adventure for them...how exciting. If any of you know my mom, she's was sooo excited, I'm sure it brings back a lot of memories for you, but can you imagine it being your "grand babies"!! If so, then you CAN imagine!
When we walked in the class was in the middle of a pumpkin assignment. They had to put their lil' hands in and take all the seeds and guts of the pumpkin out and sort out the seeds. They were to count the seeds. Once everyone was done, they each said how many seeds were in their part of the pumpkin (it was one BIG pumpkin) and earlier had guessed how many seeds did they THINK was in the entire pumpkin. It was pretty interesting to hear what they had guessed, then to find out how many really were in it. I believe the total was over 400.
So, we had gone to CJ's table where they were still counting and sorting etc.....so, mom jumped right in and help their table out, it was great seeing all this.
After the project was done, Ms. Sheckels thought it would be a great idea for one of the parents to read a story to the children, while we were setting up all the snacks for the party.........can you guess who volunteered!!!!! NONE other then........."THE NANA!!!!!!" Yep, you got it..........Nana jumped right in and read to all the class about Pumpkins, and learned a few things too while reading it. She did a wonderful job and all the kids (except our Christopher of course) were really listening and interested in the book, she made it very interactive and such a learning experience........ I think CJ was more interested in the food!! :)

After the book, it was time to eat.........it was nice having Mom and Dad there, dad too enjoyed his time, getting out and seeing the lil' kids, he had a smile on his face the entire time we were there!!!
